Fade Types

There are several types of fade haircuts, each with a different level of transition and style. Here are the main types:
Based on Fade Height
- High Fade – The fade starts high on the head, creating a sharp contrast between the top and sides.
- Mid Fade – Starts around the temple or just above the ears for a balanced look.
- Low Fade – Begins lower on the head, near the ear, offering a subtle transition.
- Taper Fade – A very gradual fade that blends into the skin at the neckline and sideburns.
Based on Style
- Skin Fade (Bald Fade) – The fade transitions down to the skin, creating a clean, sharp look.
- Drop Fade – The fade curves down behind the ears, following the natural head shape.
- Burst Fade – The fade radiates out from the ears in a semi-circular shape.
- Temple Fade (Brooklyn Fade) – Focuses on fading the temple area while keeping more hair on the sides.
- Shadow Fade – A more gradual fade that keeps some hair instead of going down to the skin.
